Kevin M. Sherwood Delta College Police Academy Memorial Scholarship Fundraising Benefit, Moose Lodge, Harrison, Michigan, March 7, 2020

Deputy Sherwood was killed in the line of duty, October 9, 2003 in an automobile accident on U.S. 127 while investigating reports of a vehicle traveling the wrong way at around 1:00 am.

The vehicle he was searching for was the vehicle that collided with his patrol car. The driver of that vehicle was also killed in the collision.

Deputy Sherwood was a U.S. Army veteran and had served with the Clare County Sheriff’s Department for nine years.

We are extremely proud to have his widow Katy as one of Risk & Associates Process Servers who covers all of Clare County and the upper Isabella County/Mt. Pleasant area.

She always conducts herself in the utmost professional manner and does a remarkable job! It’s an absolute pleasure to have her working with us.

This was a fantastic event to vendor at and we had a wonderful time meeting and speaking with Landlords, Property Managers, Real Estate Investors and Real Estate Salespersons and Brokers.

The Center’s mission is to protect children by providing multi-disciplinary investigation, assessment, and treatment of child abuse in an environment that is child-sensitive, supportive, and safe, ensuring cases of suspected child abuse are investigated in a consistent, effective, and child-appropriate manner using a coordinated, multi-disciplinary team approach, with the overriding philosophy to consider first and foremost what is best for the child.
